Steve Otto for Payson Town Council

It is imperative for American Citizens to know that the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights gives our Government limited enumerated powers.  Our rights are derived from God and shall never be violated by Government.  Our First and Second Amendment rights must never be taken away! I strongly support medical freedom, protection for our Seniors and Veterans, and ensuring we have an adequate water supply. I will vote to maintain our local parks and amenities and add appropriate new attractions on publicly-owned land. I am a member of the Fire Adaptive Committee and pledge to ensure Payson becomes firewised and that we have adequate evacuation measures in place. I will also fight to end voter fraud and make every legal vote count. I want to be your voice to MAKE PAYSON GREAT AGAIN!

Steve was Born in Portland Oregon and raised in Colorado. He attended  Colorado State University where he obtained his business degree. Steve has an extensive background in management, large scale facility production, maintenance control, budget control, and even coordinated an entire plant expansion with Sanderson Farms.

Successful Business Man

Before moving to Payson, Steve founded the Otto-Mation Equipment Company which created equipment for companies across the world including Canada, Mexico, and the United States. During his career, he enjoyed success because of his ability to visualize the problem, create a plan of action, and execute on the plan. Steve held onto those principles into retirement and continues to live by them to this day.

Community Service Oriented

Steve has served on the Gila County Community Drug Task Force and the Payson Fire Adaptive Committee to address firewising challenges in our community and helped implement the Firewise Code adopted by the Town of Payson in 2020. He has also served as a Republican Precinct Committeeman from Payson Precinct #7 and has been a Republican State Committee Delegate. Steve is most known for his service as a Payson Parks and Recreation Commissioner until he was removed for being overly passionate about Taylor Pool and the neglect of Payson’s other parks.

“When elected my goals are to change the culture in Payson and require the maintenance of existing assets, the engagement of voters in major town decisions and to stop the heavy handed manner in which town permits may or may not be handed out. The Town needs reliable evacuation routes, an emergency warning system, and a focus on the truthful dissemination of information. I hope that you’ll vote for me, Steve Otto, so that I can execute on these plans that greatly impact the people that I hope to serve.”
